Phifer Airfield Apron Closures

The Phifer Airfield Apron Reconstruction Project begins August 11. Aircraft parking will not be available during this time. This project is broken down into three phases as noted:

Phase 1: Apron is closed but the hangars will be accessible with some restrictions. This phase begins August 11, 2025

Phase 2: Full apron closure and hangars will be inaccessibl.

Phase 3: Partial apron closure and hangars will be accessible.

Exact timeing for Phases 2 and 3 is not known but additional updates will be provided. It is planned that construction will be completed in late October, 2025.

Emergency Alert 02-17-2026: Please be advised that Recreation Drive from Hill to Canal Streets will be closed to clean up a fallen tree. Our crews are working as fast and as safe as they can to get this opened up. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience.
